Winter 2014/2015

December 23rd - Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! We are spending the holiday surrounded by our wonderful family and friends!

Here at the ranch the past week we have been busy weighing and sorting the yearling bulls. We took a weight on each bull to see how they are gaining so far, then we sorted them using the weight and their phenotype into even pens. Having pens of bulls that are all evenly matched will really help us when its time to sort the bulls into catalog order. It also ensures that each of the bull in the pen gets the correct amount of ration and a smaller bull isn't pushed away from the bunk by larger pen mates.

Our Spring Production sale is coming up fast! It will be held here at the ranch and live online at DVAuction.com on March 3rd, 2016. If you are not currently on our mailing list and would like a catalog mailed to you as soon as it becomes available, please email your contact information to office@bieberredangus.com!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and many blessings in 2016!

December 18th - Bringing the Bred Heifers Home
Ranch Updates

Winter is here on the ranch, we're looking forward to 2016 and starting preparations for the arrival of new Red Angus babies here on the ranch!

This week we walked our bred heifers home off of cornstalks. They've been out on cornstalks for about 6 weeks now. The AI bred heifers are due to start calving on January 21st!

After walking the heifers back to ranch headquarters, we got them settled in the calving barns!

Start making plans to join us at our Spring Production Sale coming up here at the ranch on March 3rd, 2016. We will be offering 400 yearling red angus bull, our biggest offering to date! Check back for more information. If you are not currently on our mailing list and would like to get a catalog mailed to you please email your contact information to office@bieberredangus.com and we will send you one as soon as they are printed! We hope to see you then.

December 9th - Ranch Updates

The weather has been wonderful here! The past week has been full of temperatures in the mid 30s and 40s. The snow we recieved earlier is long gone. This nice weather is supposed to last through at least the weekend, but we're hoping it continues as long as possible!

Every cow on the ranch, except the donors, hae been out on cornstalks for about a month now. We have them split into four groups, the replacement heifers, the two & three year olds, the spring cows and the summer cows. We're planning to leave them out until mid-January weather depending.

Each pasture of cornstalks have access to fresh water along with salt and mineral feeders which we fill as needed.

December 2nd

Winter came this past week at the ranch. We got our first significant snowfall with around 4in of snow this past Monday. The weatherman says it's going to melt this weekend with the forecast in the high 30s and low 40s. We enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving weekend with our friends and family here at the ranch. We hope your holiday was full of family, friends, and food as well!

We are looking to add a new full-time employee here at the ranch.

Mechanical abilities are a plus, along with experience in operating equipment, feeding and care of cattle. We are offering housing with utility allowance, a retirement plan and a calving bonus. If you would like to apply or know of a qualified applicant, please call Craig Bieber 605/216-8169 or the Bieber Office at 605/439-3628.
