Next week we are taking video of all the sale lots starting October 23rd. All videos of the sale lots will be available online by November 3rd. Walk through of the cattle is always welcome. Call Craig Bieber 605-216-8169 or Craig Howard 605-377-3128 and we will make sure someone is available to show you around the ranch and answer any questions about the cattle that you may have! The cattle will be available on November 7th and 8th for preview all day and prior to the sale on sale day.

On November 2nd we will be preg checking all of the sale cattle and on November 3rd all of the bulls will be semen tested.

The sale will start at 1pm CST here at the ranch on November 9th and will be live online at DVAuction.com. If you cannot make it on sale day start making plans to absentee bid, we have lots of options available!! Call or email Craig Bieber today!

Rachel was in the back working groups of cattle into the double alleyway.

Lindley and Cayson were pushing calves up through the alleyway into the chute. They were also reading eartags for the next calf in line and getting the numbers to Craig Bieber so he could load the tattoo gun!

Tom and Dillon were both giving each calf a vaccination. Tom was also reading the weights to Craig Bieber.

While the calves were in the chute Dillon was taking a DNA sample from each calf's ear.

When we implant embryos in cooperator cattle we keep track of which embryos were implanted into each cow. Then when the calf is born the cooperator tags the calves with a tag that cooresponds to their program. At weaning time we cut out the cooperator tag and replace it with one that cooresponds with our program and the breeding information. Peggy keeps track of which calf gets which eartag and also which calf the DNA samples come from. The DNA information that comes back on each calf tells us sire information. So if there was a mistake in record keeping we find out and can fix it when that test comes back!  

Dillon and Craig Howard put a tattoo in each of the calf's ears. In the Left ear is the calf's new eartag number in this case E627. The Right ear contains our breeder code RAB.

Catalogs should be mailed in mid-October. If you are not on our mailing list and would like a catalog mailed to you send your contact information to office@bieberredangus.com and we will make sure you get one!
