Winter 2014/2015

July 25th - Genex Brazil

Last week we had a group from Genex Brazil stop by the ranch on their tour of the Midwest. We enjoyed visiting with this group, sharing a meal and learning about the beef industry in Brazil.

Going through the area? We are always open for visitors. Call 605-439-3628 and let us know when you'll be through and we can have someone available to show you the cattle and facilities!

July 18th - SD Beef Industry Council

Our CEO Craig Bieber serves on the SD Beef Industry Council Board of Directors. He was highlighted on the SD Beef Industry Council's Facebook page last week!

Here's a little bit more about our CEO!

Q: Why is it important to be involved in these different Ag organizations?

A: I've always believed in the importance of being an advocate for the beef industry because it promotes longevity and success for what we as ranchers do on a daily basis. These organizations provide valuable information and bridge the gap between producers and consumers so that we can have honest conversations about the agriculture industry. It's also important that we keep an open discussion with other ranchers so that we continue to become more efficient and sustainable in the way we produce beef.

Q: Why is the beef council and the beef chekcoff important?

A: Both are important. As a council member it is very interesting to see a project from start to finish, have an impact on the success of those projects and see the outstanding job the project, and the people invoved, do for promoting Beef! The Beef Checkoff has helped put money in producers pockets by working with food influencers and developing new research to support beef's role in a healthy diet.

Q: What's your Favorite kind of steak?

A: Today it's Flank or Skirt steak. Peggy cooked Flank steak for our weekly staff meeting. I like variety and love grilled steaks so I move around some depending on appetite and the flavor I'm looking for.

July 14th - **Introducing** Bieber Brave E573

Bieber Brave E573

Brave is as soggy, deep and wide as they come with incredible body mass that our CEO Craig Bieber compares to Bieber Rollin Deep. Brave is an ET son of Craig's favorite Fusion daughter and his granddam, Basin Eldorene is now working in the 9 Mile program with 33 progeny to her credit. Brave blew the doors off his contemporary group for growth and muscle reflected in a Gridmaster index in the top 1% of the breed!

Add Bieber Brave to your sire line-up and contact ST genetics for more information!

July 4th - Happy 4th of July!
